Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver will play a key role in our operations by ensuring that furniture and appliances are safely loaded, transported, and delivered to customers and making sure the deliveries are completed accurately by adhering to scheduled routes and timeframes, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. In this role, you will work as part of a team to manage warehouse tasks and drive delivery vehicles. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with inventory counts and track products.
- Restock the showroom with furniture and appliances.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and products stored properly.
- Load and unload furniture and appliances from delivery trucks.
- Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts and pallet jacks) safely.
- Prepare items for customer pick-up and delivery.
- Deliver furniture and appliances to customers on schedule.
- Check orders before and after delivery for accuracy.
- Help place items at customer locations when delivering.
- Inspect delivery vehicles and report any issues.
- Complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures.
- Follow safety rules and warehouse procedures.
- Support the team to ensure timely deliveries and good customer service.
Skills and Qualification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (not GDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in furniture delivery, home moving, or related fields.
- Prior experience operating a 1-ton truck is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
- Strong time management skills and ability to follow a structured delivery route.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
- Ability to handle basic paperwork and delivery documentation.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and traffic regulations.
